Pantry Manager

Salary: £5641 – £6180 (Full time equivalent is £23,941-£25,409)
Hours: 9 hours per week – Wednesday 14.00-19.00. Remaining 4 hours can be worked flexibly between Mon-Fri 9.00-17.00.
Fixed term contract of 12 months following start date

Salisbury Pantry aims to go beyond the food bank model in creating a sustainable and long term solution to food poverty and work as a membership scheme. Our Salisbury Pantry shop is part of our Communities team.

We are now in the exciting position to be awarded grant funding for a small number of additional hours to open on a Wednesday evening. As a result, we will be able to support more people in the city, specifically those who are working in the daytime but still struggling with the rising cost of living. This role will manage the shop and the volunteer team for these additional opening hours, nurture a few specific relationships with food donation partners and work with us on stock control.

We are looking for a motivated person to deliver a friendly and efficient essential community resource.

You will lead a team of volunteers in continuing to develop this scheme.

We are looking for someone who:
Is a great communicator with a welcoming approach
Has experience of delivering quality customer service
Has experience of catering or food retail
Is able to deal with competing priorities, a range of tasks including receiving and managing stock.
