Streetscene Officer (Maternity Cover)
Salary Range: £23,194 – £25,409
37 hours per week, to include 1 weekend in 3, flexible work pattern arrangement available

Salisbury City Council has an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our friendly team, contributing to keeping the streets of Salisbury clean for all to enjoy. This role would be ideal for someone looking to get on the first step of the management ladder, gaining invaluable experience and supporting the operational management of our Streetscene Operatives.
About the role:
Oversee a small team of mobile operatives, covering a range of activities
Undertake cyclic and non-planned inspections
Arrange permits and parking suspensions in relation to street works
Maintain relevant records for the Streetscene Service
Respond in a timely manner to incoming queries and reports
Liaise and organise memorial benches in the City
Raise purchase orders for maintenance and repair works
Work closely with waste contractors and other city partners on operational issues
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and operate mechanical equipment
If you are proficient in Microsoft Office and excel in building meaningful working relationships through strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, you’re exactly who we need. Your ability to thrive within a team while effectively prioritising and adapting to a dynamic workload sets you apart. Must enjoy a job that involves office work and the great outdoors. Full UK Driving License.
