Residents of Salisbury can have their say in the upcoming local elections as polling day for many Parish and Town Councils across the UK is set for Thursday 1 May 2025. To view the Notice of Election, please click here.

Key Election Dates:

• Nominations open: 10am Wednesday 12 March 2025 (nominations can be delivered between 10am and 4pm on working days)
• Nominations close: 4pm Wednesday 2 April 2025
• Deadline for withdrawal of candidate: 4pm Wednesday 2 April 2025
• Deadline to register to vote: Friday 11 April 2025
• Deadline to cancel or amend existing postal or proxy arrangements: 5pm Monday 14 April 2025
• Deadline to apply for a new postal vote: 5pm Monday 14 April 2025
• Deadline to apply for a new proxy vote: 5pm Wednesday 23 April 2025
• Deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate: 5pm Wednesday 23 April 2025
• Polling Day: 7am–10pm Thursday 1 May 2025
