We’re on the lookout for Events Assistants to support the smooth running of our 6-week summer (July/August) and winter (November/December) pop-up events on the Guildhall Square.
The role involves working outside, during all weathers and the wearing of uniform, and is open to those aged 18 and over. We are looking for people who:
- Have availability for all rota shifts, days, evenings, and weekends
- Are customer service orientated and enjoy being part of the customers’ experience
- Have experience in cash handling
- Are diligent, enthusiastic, and caring
The main duties include:
- Setting up, closing, and operating of the activity (this includes Santa’s Grotto in winter)
- Serving customers, including checking prebooked tickets
- Cash handling including cashing up and using card payment system
- Maintaining the whole site during opening hours

Salisbury City Council own and maintain parks and green spaces within the parish of Salisbury. Do you have experience in grounds maintenance and managing staff?
The role includes managing a group of operatives and working closely with the team to carry out grounds maintenance tasks within the Salisbury parish.
We are looking to appoint a Finance Apprentice to support our busy team, contributing to Salisbury City Council’s mission.
The AAT apprenticeship position will provide a practical hands-on learning environment alongside structured training. Ideal opportunity for someone who wants to start a finance career, without previous financial qualifications and experience.
