The Salisbury Motor Show is back bringing you a free afternoon out with plenty to keep the family entertained. Plus, what better way to treat dad on Father’s Day?

There will be an eclectic mix of cars on display, dream rides, family entertainment, food stalls, and celebrity hosts!

Armed Forces Day is a fantastic opportunity to honour the brave members of our Armed Forces, past and present, who have dedicated their lives to the service of our country.

Join us for this family-friendly event, with military displays, free make and take workshops, children’s fair rides, and face painting, as well as street food, retail and Armed Forces charity stalls, plus live entertainment throughout the day.

This year, the event will open with a procession, including representatives from the Armed Forces, Lord Lieutenant’s Office and City Council, and Rt Hon John Glen MP, leaving The Guildhall at approximately 9.55am, then down Fish Row, Butcher Row and across the Market Place. Opening speeches will be delivered by Cllr Jenny Bolwell, Mayor of Salisbury, and Colonel James Bird, Commander of Joint Military Command South West.

Come along and show your support for the Armed Forces.

Get ready, get set, go! Join us at this sports-themed market – take part in free interactive workshops, watch live demonstrations, and enjoy exciting activities, delicious food and drink, and a range of stalls.

Location: Depart from Salisbury Shopmobility

Theme: Picnic & Wildlife in Salisbury River Park

Salisbury Shopmobility invite you on their next Scooter Scoot!

Travel in convoy from Shopmobility to Salisbury River Park, meet an expert from ‘Wildlife and Wellbeing’ and have a short mindfulness session, followed by a picnic lunch together.

Bring your own packed lunch or purchase a snack, ice cream or drink from the newly opened River Park Kiosk.

How to book: to join this ‘wheely’ fun adventure you can hire a mobility scooter or power chair for just £5.50 (members) or register with Shopmobility for the year and hire for the day for £15.50. Pre-register in advance of the Scooter Scoot by calling Shopmobility on 01722 328068 or emailing shopmobility@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk.

If you have your own mobility equipment you can join in for free but please let us know you are coming.

Get ready for a night of non-stop laughs in a grand setting, as the magnificent Guildhall transforms into a comedy club for the night, welcoming three cracking comedians straight from your telly and into the historic Banqueting Hall.

Doors open at 7.15pm, so come early, grab a drink from the bar, and settle in.

Wedding planning just got easier! The Guildhall Wedding Fair is returning to Salisbury’s magnificent Grade II* listed Guildhall.

Free entry and a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival.

The Wedding Fair offers couples a fantastic opportunity to meet local wedding exhibitors and get inspiration for your special day. Discover bridal wear, jewellery, flowers, photography, catering and more, with plenty of options to bring your dream wedding to life.

The friendly Guildhall team will also be on hand to offer information on how you can use the historic building as your wedding venue. Join us and explore what our talented suppliers have to offer.

OCTOBER – DECEMBER

Salisbury Charter Fair

Date: Sunday 18th – Wednesday 21st October 2026

Time: Sunday 2 – 9pm; Monday – Wednesday 11am – 10pm

Every October Salisbury Charter Fair takes over the Market Place to light up the centre of Salisbury and bring fun for all the family!

From family favourites like the carousel, dodgems and waltzer, to adrenaline-fuelled attractions such as ‘Chaos’, ‘Star Flyer’, and other high-energy rides, the Salisbury Charter Fair has something for everyone. Not forgetting the sweet treats, street food and refreshments on offer too – you can’t have a funfair without some candy floss!

With roots dating back to 1227, when King Henry III granted a charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair on the third Monday in October, the event remains a treasured annual tradition.

Location: Guildhall Square & St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury

Entry: Free

Salisbury will pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country at the annual Remembrance Sunday Service.

Participants will gather at the War Memorial in the Guildhall Square for a small ceremony, which all are welcome to attend, and observe a 2-minute silence at 11.00am, followed by prayers.

The parade will then process to St. Thomas’s Church for the Sunday Service, before returning to the Guildhall.

Armistice Day

Brought to you by Salisbury City Council and the Royal British Legion.

A small service to mark Armistice Day, which all are welcome to attend.

The Mayor of Salisbury, City Councillors, veterans, standard-bearers and the Royal British Legion band will be in attendance.

With markets running on the four Sundays before Christmas, there are plenty of chances to explore the stalls, indulge in delicious food and drink, and find those special gifts for your loved ones.
