Salisbury Shopmobility celebrated naming of another scooter

Salisbury Shopmobility celebrated the naming of another scooter!

The scooter has been named ‘Pete’ after Pete Creed. Pete joined as a member of Salisbury Shopmobility back in 1998 and was the third customer to join Salisbury Shopmobility, when they first opened.

In addition to being a customer, you will often find Pete volunteering his time on the Shopmobility stall at the Salisbury Charter Market, especially on Tuesdays.

The aim of the organisation is to help people keep their mobility and independence in the city of Salisbury. Pete is passionate about helping people with mobility issues and connecting them with the Shopmobility service where equipment can be hired from £5 per day. For a small annual membership fee of £10 and a training session with the Shopmobility staff team, it is possible to enjoy the city of Salisbury even if mobility is an issue.

Pete says, “I’m grateful for the support that this service offers and it is certainly a lifeline for many people.”
