Salisbury welcomes a new Mayor
Salisbury City Council is delighted to announce the election of Councillor Jenny Bolwell as the 765th The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Salisbury.
The service on Saturday 9 May 2026, was attended by over 150 guests, including local dignitaries and mayors from neighbouring towns and cities.
The Mayor’s Charity for 2026 – 2027 is Salisbury Foodbank, a charity that works to combat poverty and hunger in Salisbury and the surrounding areas. Monetary donations can be made via the Salisbury Foodbank website or via Bacs payment using the details below:

The Mayor will be supported during her Mayoral Year by her Consort, Mr Tom Corbin.

“I have chosen Salisbury Foodbank as my charity because I strongly believe in its work. The aim is to not only to raise funds but to increase awareness and reduce the stigma. There’s no shame in needing help.
“I look forward to serving the incredible people of our city throughout my Mayoral Year.”
