SALISBURY WILL SOON HAVE A NEW MAYOR

A Civic Procession of visiting Mayors from neighbouring towns and cities, local dignitaries and invited guests will leave the Guildhall in procession via Fish Row, Butchers Row, Minster Street and into St. Thomas’s Church at approx. 11.40am with a fanfare played by the Shrewton Silver Band.

The official Mayor Making Service and Full Council meeting of Salisbury City Council will take place in St Thomas’s Church at 12.00pm.

There is an official hand over of the Mayoral Chain to the new Mayor of the City of Salisbury during this meeting.

The Civic Party will then make their way from St. Thomas’s Church via St Thomas Square and Blue Boar Row to the Guildhall for a private reception.
