Closure of the Crematorium during July and August

In 2019 Salisbury City Council declared a Climate Change Emergency with one of our commitments being to undertake a comprehensive programme of improvement of the insulation of all council-owned property.

The Council is pleased to announce that our programme of work continues this summer with the replacement of the roof at Salisbury Crematorium which is in need of essential repairs. Whilst this work is being carried out, the roof’s insulation will be improved to help lower the carbon footprint of the building.

This will mean that the Crematorium Chapel will be closed for services during July & August whilst these works are carried out. Cremations will continue onsite as normal.

Whilst building works take place, we are delighted to be working in partnership with the Holy Redeemer Church, Fotherby Crescent, Salisbury, SP1 3EG to ensure that services are able take place as usual in this venue.
