Notice of Vacancy

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Salisbury City Council, due to the resignation of Alan Bayliss.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held if 10 electors from the City Ward of Salisbury (Salisbury Milford Ward) write to the Returning Officer at Wiltshire Council by 22 September 2026 asking for an election to be held. Otherwise, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place no later than 24 November 2026.

A Notice of Vacancy has been displayed on the Salisbury City Council website and within the parish. The Election Request Form can also be found on the City Council website or collected from Salisbury Information Centre.
