Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
A referendum relating to the Salisbury Neighbourhood Development Plan (SNDP) will be held on 27 February 2025.
The question asked in the referendum will be ‘Do you want Wiltshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Salisbury to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
The Referendum Information Statement and all the ‘specified documents’ referred to in the Information Statement are available to view and download below, and on Wiltshire Council’s website here.
Hard copies of the SNDP documents may be inspected during normal opening hours at:

Notice of Referendum
The Notice of Referendum can be found below, or on the Wiltshire Council website here along with the timetable, Information Statement, Situation of Polling Stations and other documentation.
The referendum area is identified on the map which can be viewed here. The referendum area reflects the area that has been designated as the Salisbury Neighbourhood Area.
A person is entitled to vote in the referendum if:
- He or she is entitled to vote in an election of any Councillor of Wiltshire Council whose area is in the referendum area; and
- His or her qualifying address for the election is in the referendum area. A person’s qualifying address is, in relation to a person registered in the register of electors, the address in respect of which he or she is entitled to be so registered.
You will be able to vote in person or by post. Information on how to vote and how to register to vote can be found here.
