Scooter Scoot heads to Salisbury Museum
Salisbury Shopmobility customers, volunteers and staff set out yesterday afternoon, Thursday 14 May, and headed towards The Salisbury Museum on their latest ‘Scooter Scoot’ adventure, wrapped up warm in the rather chilly May weather. Accompanied by Blue Badge Guide, Steve Sharp, who enlightened the group with interesting facts and tales about artefacts in Salisbury Museum’s Collection.
Vicky Goodwright, Customer Service Manager at Salisbury Shopmobility said “It is great to organise these Scooter Scoots which help our customers to get out and about in Salisbury in the company of others. For some this is the highlight of their year – having an event organised that caters for their mobility needs. It takes away the fear of whether places will be able to accommodate their mobility needs as it has all been pre-planned and assessed for suitability beforehand. We organise these Scooter Scoots during the year to take in different parts of this beautiful city whilst also helping to contribute to our customers’ ongoing wellbeing needs.”
Salisbury Shopmobility helps people to keep their independence by hiring mobility equipment. Annual membership is just £10 and hire charges start from £5.50. Call 01722 328068 to enquire about our services that help people to keep connected and moving in Salisbury.
