Salisbury City Council unwraps fully festive line-up of events for Christmas 2024

Salisbury City Council is thrilled to announce an exciting line-up of events for the 2024 festive season, ensuring a Christmas to remember for all! Salisbury Market Place and Guildhall Square will come alive with a variety of family-friendly activities, twinkling lights, and holiday cheer.

Christmas Begins: 15 November 2024
Kicking off the festive season, join us in the Salisbury Market Place for Christmas Begins on 15 November. From 1pm to 8pm, enjoy live music, entertainment, festive stalls, delicious food and drink, and the opening of Christmas on the Square. This event is free entry for all and the perfect way to embrace the Christmas spirit with your loved ones.

Christmas on the Square: 15 November 2024 – 5 January 2025
For the ultimate festive experience, visit Christmas on the Square in the Guildhall Square, running from 15 November to 5 January. Salisbury City Council, Charter 1227 Catering and Vizual Koncept are partnering up again this season to bring you delicious food, warming drinks, and live music evenings. Also featuring the much-loved Santa’s Grotto and the Gift Fayre, Christmas on the Square has something for everyone, whether you’re shopping for loved ones or simply wanting to enjoy the atmosphere.

Santa’s Grotto: 15 November – 24 December 2024
Santa returns to Salisbury! From 15 November until Christmas Eve, bring your children to experience the magic of Santa’s Grotto in the Guildhall Square. Gather around to hear a Christmas story, enjoy festive activities, and capture family memories with Santa. Each child will also receive a gift straight from Santa’s workshop! Gift Fayre: 22 November – 19 December 2024
New for 2024, Salisbury City Council and Mynt Image are bringing you the Gift Fayre, a unique, enclosed, covered outdoor shopping experience featuring over twenty local artisans and makers. Running from 22 November to 19 December in the Guildhall Square, this is the ideal place to find handcrafted gifts and festive delights, making Christmas shopping a breeze.

Sunday Festive Markets: 1, 8, 15 & 22 December 2024
The Sunday Festive Markets are back! On the first four Sundays of December, Salisbury Market Place will be filled with traders offering seasonal treats and handmade gifts. It’s the perfect way to stock up on holiday essentials while soaking in the festive spirit.
