Jo was born in Devizes and grew up in Pewsey.
Her links with Salisbury began in 1981 when she studied at Salisbury College, she then went on to train as a Nurse and Midwife at the Salisbury Infirmary and Salisbury District Hospital (formerly Odstock Hospital).
Since then she has lived and worked in and around the city. She now runs a home care business with her daughter.
As well as representing the city as a Councillor, she is a Trustee for Salisbury Hospice as well as being a mum to two grown up children and a very proud Nana of three grandsons.
