Join us at Fun in the Park to celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week

Following the success of last year’s event, Salisbury City Council is looking forward to hosting Fun in the Park on Wednesday 31st May to celebrate National Children’s Gardening Week.

The FREE event will take place in Victoria Park from 11am until 3pm and will give families with children aged around 5 – 11 the opportunity to have fun outdoors and enjoy a range of gardening themed workshops.

Some of the activities include a clay workshop, sunflower planting, and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will be teaching about why insects are just as important with their “pollinating insect on a stick”. There will also be face painting and Share Salisbury will be giving you access to a Library of Things to borrow either on a one-off basis or at a reduced cost with a membership plan.

The fun won’t stop there – children will be able to take away free wildflower seeds so they can learn how to grow plants that are great for the environment at home.
