Crowds of people celebrated the Coronation over the weekend at The Big Lunch, The Big Gig and The Big Help Out

Salisbury City Council was delighted to see the people of Salisbury coming together over the weekend to celebrate the Coronation! Crowds of people of all ages visited The Big Lunch, The Big Gig and The Big Help Out on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th May which saw family activities played, dancing and donations as part of the historic weekend. City Council Accessibility & Inclusion Task Group calls out to ‘bin the barriers’ that obstructs paths and pavements in Salisbury

The recently formed City Council Accessibility & Inclusion Task Group [AITG], chaired by Cllr Lynne Blackwood, is out to ‘bin the barriers’ that obstruct paths and pavements across the city, making life difficult for wheelchair users and people other disability equipment, as well as parents with buggies. We are delighted to announce that Salisbury Street Sellers will be back this year with more artisan and arts and crafts stalls, children’s activities plus food and drink vendors. Poultry Cross Repair Works

On the final inspection of the Poultry Cross, the structural engineer located a previously undetected issue with a stone pinnacle, located above the damaged buttressing pier. Temporary strapping has been installed at the rear of the pinnacle but a more permanent repair will be required. This defect is as a result of the impact damage sustained by the structure from last year’s collision. Read Me
